Textbook: Chapter 5

     This weeks reading is all about marketing with Instagram. Instagram is by far one of my favorite platforms because of the way the app is setup. This blog will talk about some of the interesting sections that I found within the reading and the main takeaway from the chapter. 

    The first section that I found interesting was the section that talked about Instagram's number. India is actually the top user for Instagram followed by the United States and then Brazil. This is interesting because it shows that Instagram is very popular globally so there are many different cultures on the app. The target demographic has to be divided not only by age and gender, but also where they are located within the world. 

    Another section that I found interesting was the section that talked about Instagram business profile. Instagram makes it very easy for businesses to setup account and actually run the accounts on the app. There is a separate page for businesses that walk you through each step in setting up your business account and how you would like to be perceived on the app. Then it allows you to see all of the analytics for the account and gives you an option to start paying for content to be spread upon the app. Even if companies don't have money you can do most of the features for free and I think it's very cool that Instagram helps businesses get their name and product out there so easily. 

    The last section that I found interesting was the one that talked about all of the different features of Instagram. Instagram is one of the best apps when it comes to variety in content and users enjoying everything there is to offer. Users can post stories, pictures, videos, live content, direct messages, group messages and, many more. Instagram even has shopping features where users can go to different shops and buy items. This app is very user friendly and offers everything a user would possible go on the app for. 

    The main takeaway from this chapter is how efficient Instagram is when it comes to businesses and user usage. This app is very easy to navigate with tons of options, which is why users stay on the app for long periods of time. Instagram is one of my favorite apps and will continue to be one of the best apps offered.

    I think that you did a great job covering this chapter! I also thought the Instagram business profile was a very interesting tool and love how there are free options included in this for those with little capital.
